Grupo Cascata is a renowned and prestigious restaurant group based in Abrantes, Portugal, encompassing two restaurants, an event venue, a café, and a catering service. The client approached Estúdio Tipo—Grafia with a request to modernize their website, aiming for a design that was contemporary, more organized, and visually aligned with their refreshed brand identity. Additionally, they sought a platform that would be easy to update and configure.

The result is a sleek, single-page website where users can easily explore each of the group’s services. For each offering, visitors can access detailed descriptions, high-quality images, and up-to-date information such as daily specials and the current menu.

As the #1 fan of Alentejo's gastronomy I was very pleased to work with the team at [Estúdio Tipo—Grafia](https://tipo-grafia.com) for the famous Páteo Real. The fun and vibrant brand had already been developed and the client wanted the website to be a fun and dynamic extension of it. We used Next.js, Framer Motion and Spline to deliver an addictingly interactive website, filled with colors and animations. The Strapi backoffice also makes sure the client has an intuitive and easy experience to manage the ever-changing website content.

Over at Estúdio Tipo—Grafia we wanted to overhaul our website that at that time, not only was it developed using outdated Wordpress technology, but it also lacked the sleek and modern feel that we we wanted to rebrand on. We designed and developed a new website from scratch with a very minimalistic approach that took inspiration from architecture studio websites. Using Next.js as our framework and a Strapi backoffice also made sure we were running on fully updated technology that worked in a fast and intuitive manner and was built to last.

For my master's thesis I wanted to design and develop a project from scratch that combined two subjects I was really passionate about: Information Design and Climate Change. I wrote a system that took climate data and used D3.js and WebGL to generate an orb, which I named the "Climate Orb". Then I designed an awareness campaign around that orb, that included an online platform which allowed people to view the 2832 unique artifacts, and multiple forms of communication design.

In 2021 and long before ChatGPT became popular, I was already questioning Artificial Intelligence's advance into Natural Language Processing. For the subject "Laboratory of Computational Design" of my master's degree, I developed a system based on a Node.js server that had a webpage where users could submit their answers to philosophical questions. For every 3rd human answer to a question, the system would generate a 4th artificial answer, use P5.js to generate a sketch and automatically publish it to a Twitter account.
